Hello
Íse is an advisor, author, teacher, podcaster and speaker.
Her work blends industry experience, science, movement, and spiritual inquiry, driven by the study of how humans and energy interact. Íse is host of the Safety Sistas Podcast, and Associate Lecturer at the University of Plymouth. Her contributions to the field include authoring the Zone Ex chapter for the Guide to Health, Safety and Welfare at Outdoor Events, and developing the Safer Crowds, Safer Venues guidance. She is also a comprehensive Fletcher Pilates teacher and her training extends to Stretch Therapy, pre and postnatal Pilates, and biomechanics.
She has always been fascinated with human and energy behaviour and with an almost twenty year career in creating events, she now focuses on creating safety at events and other crowded spaces, as well as supporting people and those who deliver these events. Her own experience of burnout coupled with growing up in a spiritual household has inspired her to share what she has learned to build resilience, self empowerment and live the life she was designed to live, in order to help others find joy and strength in theirs.
Her blog serves as an anchor for exploring safety from dual perspectives: the external world of events and crowd safety, and the internal realms of neurophysiology, behavior, and the human condition. By approaching this subject from both angles, she aims to deepen her understanding of human nature and explore how we can cultivate safety within ourselves while ensuring safety in gatherings. Her writing includes language from Human Design, Tibetan Buddhism, Native American Ehama, Pilates, Psychology, Neuroscience and Biology.
